Since our inception in 1978, Persona has been designed, edited, produced, and marketed entirely by our undergraduate staff. Submissions, which include poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and visual art (both two- and three-dimensional), are selected in a multi-committee system by students of all majors. It is our goal to allow aspiring undergraduate authors and artists the opportunity for recognition in a nationally-renowned publication, while also connecting with organizations both within the university and our surrounding community.

Persona has received national recognition and awards from the Coordinating Council of Literary Magazines (CCLM) in 1980 and the Associated Writing Program (AWP) in 1993, 1994, and 2000.
